I decided my first post on the forum should be introducing my latest tool. Since more and more of the newer cars have defined jacking points unlike older cars and truck with exposed frame members you could use to jack up the vehicle I came purchase a set of Jackpoint jack stands. For those that are not familiar with them they are unique among jack stands as have an opening in one side. They come two piece, the stand and the top plate. you put the top plate on your jack and jack at the recommended jacking point on the vehicle, then you slide the jackpoint jack stand around the floor jack and lower the jack so the top plate now fits in its proper place atop the jackpoint jack stand and continue to lower your jack and remove it. They are well made with a wide base and provide a very stable sup[port for the vehicle. No I don't work for them, however I do wish I had invented the product as it does work and is well built, a neat idea that solves a problem in my garage.
