Thanks, guys. I guess it's the summer of my garage getting press. I keep worrying that I'm going to go out there one morning and find a bouncer telling me I'm 'not on the list.'

I can't claim it's the biggest or the best. Anyone who spends time on this site knows that there are a LOT of cooler garages here. But maybe it's the green paint -- maybe it's my extended-play videos. Maybe it's the mysterious power of the repurposed lift. Who knows?

Jalopnik picked it up from Hemmings. But Hemmings doesn't get anything like the traffic Jalopnik sees. It's gotten over 40,000 views now -- in about a day and a half.

Maybe it will bring in some new folks to Garage Journal.

The Jalopnik slide show was pure garage ****. mmm good.

I have to disagree with you about better garages out there. There are different garages out there. But your garage for a lot of reasons really speaks to people. You did it all yourself. It's incredibly well thought out, it has a coherent design or style that's not a knock off of anything else. You did it on a budget. All of that counts for a lot with folks around here.

Less easy to quantify is my sort of visceral reaction to the first pic I ever saw of your garage. This was before you even did all the upgrades and improvements. There is something, dare I say, iconic about that photo. It sort of symbolizes what a garage can be. A car that you love, a space that you built with your own hands, a place that expresses who you are and what is important to you.
