Jacks with rubber lifting points?

I am looking to get a jack that wont eat into my car body like the ones with metal contact points do. Any recommendations for jacks that have a lifting point that is soft enough to be gentle to the underbody?

Why not just pick up a small piece of hard rubber to use on the pad of the jack? The rubber that is sold as bedliner material should work perfect, as it is what I used as isolators under my compressor feet.

I got one of these and it helps. i wanted one that replaced the pad on the jack but this is all i could find.

I have a pad that replaces the standard cradle of a floor jack that I use from

time to time. Where I got it, I cannot remember. Probably from HF, but I

don't see it listed in their catalog. I even looked at Grainger, and McMaster,

with no luck there. Sorry. Perhaps you could fabricate something out of an

old tire that might do what you are looking for. Be careful though, b/c the

flat pad (rubber on top) is more prone to slide out from under the load.

Thanks for the link. I may be getting one of those. I have a pad like in the Amazon link, but it still allows the pinch welds to bend.

There is an adapter for lifting by the pinch weld. I saw this on Ebay.

I have one of the side lift pads. It works nicely without deforming a pinch weld jack point.

If you are lifting from the pinch welds you need to lift with a jack on the passenger and driver side of the car. Pinch welds bend because the car "tilts" when you lift from one side. The pinch weld adapters on the jacks do help, but they won't stop bent/broke pinch welds if you are only using a single jack, especially on heavier vehicles.
