ah- 4 in Stock - just got 1! :)
Thought about ordering 4 and selling the other 3, after rebate my cost would be $0, but the wife thought otherwise.

Good thing you didn't order all 4, otherwise I would've been pretty pissed at ya :)

Just ordered one ... so there probably is only a couple left at this point

Thanks for the head-up!

Nice is back ordered, but the rebate doesn't require the upc or anything. This will replace my harbor freight helmet nicely.

Got one directly after this was posted. Sending in for the rebate as I type... This has now went up to $265 and has a quantity of 4... strange.

Thanks for the heads up to the OP!

This is truly a Hot Deal!

Actually it hasn't gone up exactly. It's because it's back ordered so they have changed the main seller to the in-stock supplier (RS Hughes at 265$). Look at the right and you will see "more buying choices" which still lists Amazon @96.12.
If you order it, you'll see:
"Order now and we'll notify you by email when we have an estimated delivery date for this item."
Which won't keep you from claiming a rebate.
You can still get in on this, it'll just take a bit longer for delivery.
If you are on the fence, you should buy. You won't be charged until it ships and you can always cancel, so it's essentially no-risk.
But if they stop taking backorders or raise the price, then it's done.
Unrelated: mine shipped this morning.

^ that's taking a big risk since the purchase invoice must show Dec 31 2013 or before to qualify for the rebait.

The invoice shows the date of purchase, not date of shipping. I bought one today and already submitted my rebate.

Having done the rebate dance before, I can confirm rebate based on invoice date as well.

Sounds like a good enough deal to me. It will either be my new spare helmet or If i hate it I can sell it and get out of it what I paid.

No reason you shouldn't be able to. It's adjustable from a 9 to 13 lens. I think the photocell is just extra sensitive so you can TIG weld down to small amps with it and the lens still senses the arc.

I ordered today after it showed as temp. out of stock, and I just got a ship date notification, as well as a charge to my cc, so I'm guessing it's shipping today or tomorrow.

^same here. I'm glad I ordered. This is a slick deal!

Rebate submitted!

If you still want one, I suggest buying one now for $100 while it's available to order.

I just got one. Hopefully the whole rebate deal works as expected. If so, it seems like a smoking deal.

Just got the ship notification. Shipped via UPS SurePost. I used super saver shipping.

Mine just arrived today by surprise. Wasn't expecting it until tomorrow. Weird thing is I got an email at simultaneous time from Amazon saying that my shipment may be delayed by 1 or 2 days? :dunno:

Anyway, it looks like a nice, decent helmet. I like how it has hole slots where you can "pin in" to adjust how far down you want the helmet to go. Also I like how smooth it flip down with little effort. Kind of like the ez-tailgate that lower smoothly. The helmet itself is made in Slovenia (British Columbia) while the headgear is made in the USA, so that is a plus. I'm liking this helmet so far but the real test will be when I do some welding with it. That probably won't happen for awhile though.

Received email shipped with tracking. It's gonna perform a lot better than my HF $30 auto helmet

Nope, I sent the rebate form and invoice via email a few minutes after I ordered from Amazon then resent the updated invoice after Amazon shipped. No confirmation so I'm guessing I'll just wait.

No confirmation here either. I did get a read receipt from the recipient shortly after submitting the rebate by e-mail.

I got in on this deal the first time around and it took about 3 weeks to hear anything back on the rebate, but it came through just fine. So I wouldn't start worrying yet.

FWIW, I emailed the rebate in on 11/13, then got a response 12/4 saying it had been processed and I should receive it in a few days, and then it showed up 3 days later via FedEx with a direct signature required.

I've received my rebate confirmation email over the holidays.

On a side note - has anyone noticed the warranty? The outside of the box clearly indicates a 5 year warranty, however the product manual has a statement that clearly indicates it is covered by a 3 year warranty.

Well, after 10 days upon submission, I got an email confirmation for this rebate. I guess they were away for the holiday and just catching up on their backlog :D

I was on perpetual "We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date." so I went ahead and cancelled.

I suspect that someone wasn't really eager to give $50 off of those things at $96 after the initial flurry of in-stock orders was sent.

No big deal.

Your order would have been fine, it is based on the day you order it, not when it ships. Amazon doesn't care about the $50 because it does not involve them.

I ordered on Dec 19 when it was out of stock. It arrived yesterday, so not too bad really. I had submitted the rebate in the meantime and got confirmation that was in process this week as well.
