im looking at getting a few of these as i just cant deal with the darkness in my shop.

http://www.ledlightingwholesaleinc.com/James-High-Bay-4-Foot-325-Watt-p/zy-h6-325w.htm

im curious if anyone has used these or has a better option for the price range? Originally i was looking at the 2ft versions with half the lumens.

Im lighting a 1720SQFT(40x43) Facility but this purchase will not light the whole garage im looking at buying 3 or 4 to get me some good light and complete the whole shop at a later date.

Eve height is 19ft where the lights are going to be mounted

platonic Solid made the images to my dimensions, the lights on the side of the shop are what i have now, but i have pallet racking in front of them so it blocks most of the light.

Fool,
My only concern is whether the light will be too concentrated, not spread out enough. How many were you figuring total for the entire shop ?

I just bought a couple of 4 ft 6 bulb T-8 fixtures to try. They are 18,000 lumens each. I figure on 8 of them in my 30x60 shop. Two rows of 4 fixtures.

Call me old fashioned but I am not convinced on the LED's yet.

These are 324 watts vs. James 165 watts. They are not dimmable, but good price for the Lumens they put out. If I weren't going LED, this would be my go to light for my 17ft ceiling.

Check my link below for my test on the 2ft. I would rather run more 2ft fixtures than less 4ft. I am mounting them at 16-17ft and with 6 lights in my layout I maintain mostly well above 100fc.

So i reached out to Atlanta Light Bulbs, in regards to Photo Cells and a DImmer that is compatible with the James lights.

he came back saying he manufacture cant guarantee any dimmer will work, and has no recomendation.

But for photo cells these wont void the warranty : LEVITON OSFHU-ITW
atlanta light bulbs wants 47$ each but amazon has them for 27$

But also i did some digging due to the sales guy saying that the James LED 165watt Linear lights are not 21k lumens, they are 19k with the frosted lens installed. and James industry website confirms that. So they might be 21k before the lens but after then are 19k like most other lights in this wattage.

A few things...
Atlanta Light is a distributor. You'd be surprised how little these folks know about some of the products they sell. If you have compatibility questions, you should ask the manufacturer, not the distributor. If the manufacturer cant answer it....dont buy it.
The Leviton OSFHU-ITW is an occupancy sensor, not a photo cell.
Good luck,
CD
