What happened to the old compressor "Big Blue"?

Did I miss something?

Big Blue's tank popped a pin hole in the bottom. So I put the
word out I needed a tank and a friend gave me a tank with a
5hp Saylor - Beall Compressor attatched to it-lol

Blue is now on Craigslist for $300.00 :(

Wow, just went through your garage thread, front to back. As cool as your place is, and your Camaro, you should consider posting more than every three years!

My best friend in high school had a 70 1/2. It was an early production 70’ that had a 69’ 327 and Turbo 400. Nice car except for the color. It was dirt brown with a beige vinyl top.

My brother-n-law is an electrician and gave me a bunch of led 2x4 fixtures
out of a Dr's office he was redoing. I took them apart and fitted the parts to my
2 tube ceiling fixtures in the garage. It worked out great. Garage is now lit up
like a operating table.

I had picked up an explosion proof fan they were throwing out at
old job, so I mounted it up in the ceiling of the garage. It has a 14"
duct going over to the gable end vent. I used a scrap piece of duct work
to create a filter holder. This thing really moves some air.

I have been wanting to do this for 10 years. I picked up a new window a/c off of Marketplace, took out a window that was in bad shape and built a frame for the a/c to go in. Just have to trim the outside.

I still need to run a dedicated circuit, insulate and finish off.

Looks good!

I’ve came to the conclusion that I’m ok with not having AC in the garage, but I can’t do without a heater in the garage!!

That's going to make a big difference and I bet you won't miss that view when you can be working comfortably! I really like the color on Jane, but what happened to the yellow? Are the stripes a lighter shade, or just a different metallic added?

I inlet a 12K AC/11K Elec heat 240V window unit into the wall of our garage to handle the 110+ summers and hi 20's/low 30's winter nights in Arizona. Since the garage is insulated, inc door, it easily keeps things from freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer. Really doesn't use that much electricity to maintain 60 winters and 80 summers so I could actually work year round. New shop has a 24K minisplit that does both very well, however, running the house garage and shop A/C in the summer is spendy with 6 tons of A/C.

The stripes are an inner clear that you add the pearl powder to and spray over the base coat. I sprayed three coats.
The inner clear is basically paint with out the pigment.

I went thru so many colors in my head, just decided on the Viral Red.
