I really don't see the point of using a URL shortening service unless you think people won't follow links to flickr. I understand on twitter where you have a limited number of characters, but here it's ok to just post a normal link.

Was his garage really that messy before or did you guys junk it up for the show? With his reputation I expected it to be pretty much a showroom to start with. It looked like it had been really nice at some point but was well used. I set the DVR so I won't miss it, even though I'm sure it will be on every other day for the next month.

Yes, but on forums it's used to mask links when the poster doesn't want others to know where it goes. Link shorteners like it are sometimes used to direct people to viruses, spam pages, automatic affiliate or advertisement redirects, etc.

There's no reason use such a shortener in a forum.

I'm not saying that the OP's intentions were nefarious, but the fact that he just registered doesn't make it look any better.

btw this was his garage........he also has his car "storage" which looks like a large airplane hanger

AGREED! That turntable would have to go, Im sure Jay is capable of backing up a car and does not need a turntable hogging up two extra parking spaces.

I really didn't like the finished garage, but I hope Jay does.

How much of it was trashed for the cameras though just to make it look worse than it actually did? I can't imagine Jay being that big of a slob.

On the other hand.....who makes this desk that they used or what was it made from? I like it!!!

Was it just me or does it seem like the turntable takes up like 3/4 of the garage? To me it seems like a waste of space. I also noted that the basement of the garage is now useless for working on his motorcycles, which was why he put in the motorcycle lift in the first place. I think I would have done a few things a little different. I also would have taken my time with the project, instead of having like 50 men rush through the job.

The more you see him, the more you might tune in.

pretty much a waste to do a makeover for him. He's got a massive collection of cars and his own private mechanic in his car complex.
He REALLY doesn't need a "functional" home garage. He just needs a place to display the car of the day. I really like his collection and his real garage though.
