Here is a JC Penney roll-around tool cabinet and a tool box offered for sale. Both pieces need some cleaning and perhaps some restoration work, depending on your tastes. The cabinet is 47" wide x 18" deep x 33" high. Tool box is smaller, as you can see in the photo. (NOTE: After thinking about this...that 47" width in my notes seems TOO wide, by my memory. :headscrat The tool chest is at my shop at work, so I'll double check that measurement on Monday, Feb 7th. But that is the number I wrote down while I was measuring).

I'll sell both boxes for what I paid for them, at $45. But this does not include any kind of shipping or packing costs. You can pick them up in south western Ohio. Thanks!

I'll take them and I live in Findlay area and can pick them up. It will be a few weeks but I collect JC Penney and would love them.

Darrin,
Ok, I'll consider them SOLD. It's Monday morning now, and as I suspected and mentioned in my earlier post, I had written down the width dimension incorrectly on my notes. Instead of 47" wide, it is 27" wide, plus another 2" for the handle.

I am quite pleased to think of someone getting these neat old JC Penney tool boxes who will really love them. That just makes me feel good inside, somehow.

You and I have corresponded on Garage Journal before, about some JC Penney and Penncraft tools which I have among my piles of used USA-made tools. I have never really gotten them sorted out well enough to send you a list before. But since you will be coming down from Findlay soon to pick up these tool boxes, I'll go ahead and try to find all the JCP tools I've got, and have them laid out for you to look at when you arrive. I'll bet we can find a mutually-satisfactory number, and they can go home with you too. That will make your trip even more worthwhile, I'm sure.

I'll go ahead and list the tool boxes as SOLD. Please keep me posted about when you would like to come down and pick them up, so I be certain to be available at that time.
Thanks! ----------Jim Wirth (Lump)

Sounds good and I'm looking forward to seeing what else you have. I'll get with you tom on what my plan is for pick-up. Thanks! Is there anything you collect or would like to have that I could bring for possible trade on the other tools you might have? Just curious...

Right now I'm in sort of a pickle, in that I bought so many used tools last year that I cannot get them all sorted to find out what I need exactly. I probably have some partial sets of things which I ought to try and fill in, etc. But mostly I am just selling at the moment.

On another note, I had forgotten that you like Herbrand and None Better tools. So I'll lay out some of those for you to see also.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Ha! :spit: C'mon down, whenever it is convenient for you. Just let me know as far in advance as you can, so I don't make other plans for that date.
