I think I posted this question on the wrong thread earlier. I am new. I have a JC Penny model 4989A 1/2 inch square drive impact wrench. Can someone tell
when they were made? I ran it this afternoon and it worked great. thanks

Penny's made a run at Sears in the 70's and 80's. The earlier tools branded Penncraft were made by New Britain, later ones branded JCPenney were made by S-K. Both New Britain and S-K also made Craftsman tools (though not at the same time).
That's the wrenches, sockets and the like. As for the power tools - I don't know. Is your Impact wrench air or electric?
Yes, photos are very important.

And welcome aboard.

I have a JC Penney 3/8ths extension in my tractor toolbox. I see JCP tools at swap meets every once in a while.

Manning-Bowman?
Light duty, good for drill bit sharpening.
I had a very similar but smaller Penncraft that was M-B, I think 5". Burned it up, but it took me quite a while.
