Hey Guys,
I am new to the site and have joined because I am in the planning stages of building my new shop. I live in Central Oregon and my shop will be a full fab shop used to build custom suspensions, cummins conversions, restoration work and many other things. I am excited to post the progress on the build and learn as much as I can from you guys!
A little info on what the shop will be. The shop will be attached to my house (I'll post pictures of location) and, due to space constraints, will be around 27' x 65'. It will have a 14' tall door and 16' tall ceilings. Initially I was going to do two 14' tall 9' wide doors, but I am now thinking of doing one 14' x 20' door (input would be appreciated). I am going to install one 10k two-post lift right when it is built and maybe add another down the road. It will have a plethora of tools including a CNC plasma table, tube bender, horizontal band saw, press brake, MIG and TIG welders, lots of work bench space and tool storage, etc. I have not worked on the layout much yet, but I will try to do some sketchup renderings soon to give you guys a better idea of what how the shop and house will be attached and a rough idea of the layout inside the shop.
I are planning on breaking ground towards the end of February, but I will start a build thread soon outlining the planning process and dealing with the county and what not.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and please give me all the input you have! I love all the ideas I see on here.
