Nice to meet everyone. I happened on this forum by mere accident. I have to say overall, it's been fun. I like the topics, I like the responses most people give.

Current projects include finishing and insulating my 24x24 garage, putting up my 8' corral fence to shelter my trailers and spare truck, building a small 14x20 shed for hobby projects and our cabin is a work in progress.

I'm a DIY lightweight, usually getting in over my head before I am willing to concede defeat. But I love to try something new and if I can do it, I try to make sure i learn something from the process.

Now, I had a small beef with another member and it was stupid...we are all here to have fun and enjoy each other's comments.

I have been a mod on a motorcycle forum with 15000 members. I have to say as a member of 3 tap forums, this one and a local MI one have more keyboard ninjas than the 3rd site. A keyboard ninja is someone who feels its necessary to make fun of people for missing the obvious. Hey, we all make mistakes or miss a post when they are 5 pages long!

Now in all fairness, I wigged out on a member for doing this, and I apologized after my ban was lifted. That being said, the mod had a good point, let's all be a little nicer. Let's not make that last smartazz remark just to be sure the guy was embarrassed. I'm not trying to justify how I behaved, it was unacceptable, especially BC I have been a mod in the past, and being new I jumped on someone for no real reason.

Thanks for not giving me the immediate boot. Thanks for have a great forum. I can already see that most in this community are well respected "garage mentors" and I look forward to sharing my successes and failures with all of you!

Welcome from Ohio. I am in your local area every year for the Detroit Autorama. And there are lots of "wire guys" on here.

Mint fields in MI?

Sent from my bag phone...

Hello from Midland.

He's from ST Johns. The mint growing capital of Michigan.

I'm told St Johns used to be the Mint capital of the world in the 70's-80's. On my drive into work, I pass several hundred acres of the stuff. Makes for a great start to your day. Next time you're in the area, drop on by.
