That's good to hear. Considering his fast ride hobby ya always wonder if something happened when someone just checks out. So I looked him up on FB to see if he was updating there and found out we've got a mutual friend. It's funny the HiPo street car scene can be a small world sometimes.

His house is safe from fire for now, the fires are located far to the south east of him.
The fire is about 8 miles from me, looks like we may have dodged a bullet.

Update 61 (Jan 2020)

Floor heating has been installed in the master bath..

Progress continues on the drywall front..

The ceiling wood is also getting completed.. we did drywall first and the wood on top of that. The wood is western hemlock with a stain we picked out to be similar but not identical to what we think the floor will be. It is a good wood for a ceiling since there is no foot traffic on it!

My 7 year old daughter picked out her room color…

The tile guys are working on the guest bathroom tile.. floor and walls.

The concrete has been poured for the side access as well as the spot for the generator. I’m planning on doing a 36kw natural gas/propane genes.

You can see the stub out I did for the generator - gas and conduit for wire.

The first asphalt pour looks really good now. I like the rocks integrated into the pour.

The entrance into the shop below the deck is working well. I tested to make sure I have sufficient room to turn around and angle cars correctly.

The front gate posts are also set ready for concrete. Once the gate posts are done we will tear up from of this asphalt and re-pour the connection to the street.

Update 62 [Jan 2020]

I need power at the gate and the best way ended up being to get a meter at the gate with its own transformer. You can see the current vault, plus a new pad to the right for a new transformer. Meter is installed, just waiting on PGE to hook it up.

It is time to get the vault door installed. I am using an Amsec door, which is the same door I have in my current house. Fantastic door with a perfect fit for this location.

It ended up being a bit of a challenging install just because of the weight. The door is about 1000 lbs, and to do it right you have to lift it off the hinges. The guys from Amax did a great job in getting it all lined up and bolted in.

The wood ceiling is moving along.. It looks really good in person, and I think it will add a lot to this room.

The heating wire installed and tested in the bathroom floor.
