Here are a couple interesting links with information on Jerry Seinfeld's garage in Manhattan, where he keeps his collection of Porsches. It's a pretty amazing place.

This is a link to a bunch of photos of the elevator used in the building to move the cars up and down from the basement. It looks like something from a modern art museum. Garage elevator

Unbelieveable. Must be nice to be rich. I wish there were picts of the rest of the garage...

I don't know about you, but that elevator looks to be completely over engineered. It's a maintenace man's dream come true.

Another thing I don't get is why would he want his cars in the city? That's the last place I would want to drive a vintage Porsche. I thought he lived in Conn or something?

I bet he keeps them there so he can go look at them whenever he wants. The place seems more like a muesum than a garage. He most likely has someone haul or drive them out of the city when he wants to drive on the open road.

Seinfeld is a New Yorker thru and thru...he lives in the city and will 'till he dies. I saw an interview when he had the show...he said he hated living in California and he moved back to NYC during the show's downtime.

I remember hearing something of at least $500k for the renovation work, ontop of the $900k property price...that's one nice city garage!

Sadly that was $900k in 1999 dollars. That hole is probably worth $1.4M by now...

I met Jerry one time when he came into a bar we were drinking in after one of his concerts. We bought him some shots and hung out for a while. Nice guy.
