My neighbor is selling his jet bandsaw for $150. It comes with a few blades and a fence that attaches to the front. Also he got rid of the original base as he said it was just a stand with no storage and built a mobile stand for it. What you guys think?

I have a Jet saw just like that. I converted it to cut steel by building a jack shaft system to slow the blade speed down. It works well, parts are available. A buck and a half is not a bad price, I believe they are about $400 new.

I'd say it's fair. Pretty sure that is a 12" saw and not the common 14". It's not direct drive, but the motor is integrated into the lower frame.

Zkling I think your right 12" sounds right. If that's the case is it still a good deal? I don't HAVE to get a bandsaw ATM but didn't want to pass on a good deal
