Anyone have experience with JET impact wrenches? They seem like more of an industrial brand. I've been shopping for a 1/2 compact impact wrench, and they have one on sale at amazon for $100 right now, most sites list it near $180 usual price. I can't find reviews for their impacts anywhere though, but they seem like a pretty heavy duty brand in general, and their other power tools seem pretty well regarded.

I’ve always thought they looked good and had good specs but I’ve never heard of anybody using them. So I’ve never bought them. Surely somebody hear has. Lately I’ve been real impressed with aircat. I used to buy all snap on and Matco air tools

I have 3 of them, a 1/4” and a pair of 3/8” drive. They work very well, for what I use them for and what I paid for them, they were great additions to the tool box.

Jet may be an "industrial brand" in other categories but I don't believe their impacts would fit the description. Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Cleco and a couple others have impacts that fall into the industrial category. The industrial category typically includes applications in the petro-chem industry, steel construction and mining. While the Jet brand may claim to include products for those applications, their product all seems to be iterations of China and Taiwan product that you can find labeled for several different brands.

JET has been around for a long time. Their core business is in woodworking and metalworking (bandsaws, table saws, lathes, shop presses, grinders etc..). They've always been a mid to upper tier prosumer importer. In the 80s and 90s a lot of their stuff was made in Japan and quite excellent, now its Taiwan. Their air tools are mostly made by Kuani.

Its good stuff.
