Jigsaw recommendation

What's the best jigsaw for a homeowner?

I'm still not sure if I want to go corded or cordless...

I'm leaning towards bosch professional series

there are no other blades that even come close to the Swiss made Bosch ones

Bosch. I've got one from my father that's at least 20 years old, and has been well used. Still runs beautifully, although I've got a new one to replace it.

I am really happy with DeWalt but I do use Bosch blades . I have both cordless and corded, but if I could have only one, I'd keep the corded version.

I'm not familiar with the Boscj Pro series, but I have a Bosch 1590 and it is top notch.

I agree about Bosch. I believe their blade guide mechanism is or was patented and that's what I like about mine compared to others I've tried. Have heard the Festool is incredible but I haven't tried one.

My Bosch is a 1587 that I really like but I've also used a 1590 and like the blade change mechanism on it better than mine. I don't know if there is a new model or not.

A few years back when I was shopping for mine the word on wood working forums was that the cordless Bosch jigsaws didn't quite match up to the corded version. I don't know how true that is today. I would like to have a cordless jigsaw that works as well as my 1587.

The upper model Bosch gets good reviews. The lower model Bosch gets complaints about blade wander because it doesn't have the blade pinchers that the upper model has.

Bosch makes great jigsaws of that there is no doubt. I'm also a Bosch fan in general both of their tools and accessories. But any of the top line tool makers jigsaw would be much more than adequate for a DIY homeowner.
