Started a building this summer so I'll have some place to work when I retire.I've got lots of things I want to do, cars, wood working projects, metal working, glass you name it. Got tired of having to rearrange the 2 car garage every time I needed space to work. Going to have an area for a lathe and mill in the back of the garage portion (24 x 32 garage with a 22 x 24 dogleg for a wood shop). The machines will be in a 24 x 10 area on 6" of concrete and there is going to be a 31 x 58 window every 8' around the whole building including the dog leg.
Been a machinist @ Boeing in St. Louis Mo. for the last 28 years and I'm really looking forward to doing my own stuff. Doing most of the work on the building myself and get hung up constantly when I'm not sure how to proceed but it's comming along. Hope to finish outside pretty soon, concrete, wiring and insulation will have to wait till next year.
