Been lurking here for awhile. Thought I'd share finally. I just started by wanting to keep the floor clean to prevent tracking grit in on our hardwood floors. I epoxied the floors, but couldn't easily hose them off due to all the junk sitting everywhere. So I built cabinets off the floor to hide all the junk. I built two work benches: one for tools, one as a sort of desk, with granite-look formica surface. I began with one outlet and two ceiling bulbs, and now have lots of outlets and a dozen lights in the ceiling and a fixture above each bench. We have a local Shelby museum where I collected posters signed by Carroll and the original race car drivers, so they seemed like a natural garage decor. I built a cubby for an inexpensive home theater system, which was cheaper than a nice boom-box and plays mp3s on DVD and has an external AM antenna to boot. I don't have a TV out there, but I did run coax out, just in case I want to get one later. I did everything myself, except the drywall. I didn't want to mess with the 12 foot ceiling. Thanks for all the ideas I got on this forum.

Thanks. The Nissan Frontier and Hyundai Sonata didn't quite fit the theme, so were moved off camera.
