Hi all.
I had a forum member from another site refer me to GJ and so far I like it. Getting great ideas for my new shop.
I just moved from a condo with an 18x18 garage to a house on 5 acres with a 26x40 garage. I'm loving all the new space.

I like to work on cars and boats. The last few years I have started restoring old garden tractors for use on my family's property up north and now the new 5 acres.

Looking forward to getting my shop in order and this site looks like a great resource for ideas.

Looks like I need a few more posts before I can post images. So more to come soon.

Yes. 1973. It is my latest project that I picked up last winter. So far I've been too busy using it instead of restoring it.
Also have a 110 and 112.

First thing I had to do after moving in January was get the snow removal crew set up.

Next was to get some shelves up and some tunes going. Needed to get some stuff off the floor so I had some room to move. Also put up some eye candy and set up a seat for my helper.

Got some more organizing done last night. Took down the shelves the PO had on either side of the window and made a spot to hang garden tools. Also got my cleaning supply cabinet hung up. Sorry for the sideways pic. I can't get it to flip the right way.

Next I had to move this beast of a workbench that came with the house.

I removed an old shelf cabinet and moved the bench over a couple feet so that I could squeeze the workbench I brought from the old house into the corner.

Moved the toolbox over to the freed up wall. This is a much better layout and it gets my tools away from the salt dripping cars on the other side of the garage.
Will have to relocate the vise but it looks like the old workbench already has holes that line up with it.
I'm thinking of using pegboard on the wall behind the benches. I don't really like pegboard but I haven't found any other alternatives that aren't big $$.
The old bench is also to wide. I can't lean over it to get to things on the wall so I think I'm going to have to rework it a bit. The plan is to maybe add some drawers to it for power tool storage.
