JNC 660 New vs Old

My old Clore JNC660 finally gave up the ghost after about 16 years and I need a replacement.
Noticed the new one has a hard plastic case and different clamps, and seems a lot heavier.
Anybody know if the new ones are as good as the older ones?

I have the old style and the shop has the new. I wish I had the new. Like the kill switch on it.

I've replaced the battery once before, several years ago.
This one leaked **** all over inside and it's pretty nasty.
