JoAnn Fabrics carries foam backed headliner fabric in a few colors.

I needed some blue/grey for my 1990 Pontiac 6000.

Went in and the fabric was $14.99 a yard and I needed 2 yards. It's 54" wide.

The spray adhesive was $20.00.

Luckily you can bring up their website on your smart phone, and they scan the coupons. They had half off any one item, so I got the headliner, and Julie got the adhesive.

Instead of $50, it was $25.

Just a heads up for headliner (Pun intended).

Bill

I think that 40% coupon they have comes around every couple of weeks... I get dragged in there with my credit card when that happens.

I'll be honest, I only came in here to tease you guys for shopping at JoAnn Fabrics. :D

But thanks for the tip on the headliner material, I didn't know they carried the stuff and that's quite a bit cheaper than I can get it on line. It's a tedious job to replace a headliner but it isn't particularly tough and it makes a huge difference, I don't mind driving a beater but I can't stand a grubby, falling-down headliner.

My wife went there a a couple of weeks ago and I went with her on purpose
I'm not happy with the offerings for a storage bag to hold the windows on my TJ so I went with her and got a couple yards of "sailcloth", which I think is the fabric to make outdoor seat cushions.
This reminds me that I need to go back to get some sort of polar fleece as a dividers since I forgot about it while we were there and order zipper I found on ebay so I can get my moms to sew it up for me.

But yeah......she pulled up a coupon on her phone.

I purchased some headliner from them a couple weeks ago. I just needed to redo my sunroof cover. They happened to have a piece in remnants that was close enough for my liking at +/- $2.00. Reasonable quality and holding up well even in the high wind environment.

I used a coupon there to buy a cutting wheel for a leather working project. After looking around the store I decided that JoAnne Fabrics has high prices everyday, and it was only worth buying what was on sale.

There was a 60% off that just expired 8-22
I think the 60% coupon comes around about every 3-4 months

Other good things there are hot glue guns, spray paint, glue sticks, xacto knives

not a problem - I'm secure in my masculinity.

I shop at JoAnn to buy vinyl for recovering guitar amps, and for use on doors/dashes on car restos. I also use their plastic canvas to fabricate filters for my saltwater reef tanks. If you DIY you have to learn where to buy parts.

wow I usually scrounge the parking lot for coins when the wife has to go into Michaels or JoAnne Fabrics...was convinced it would take days off my life if I went in there, like Bed bath and beyond does...may have to check them out and see what they have to offer...I know for a fact you can't get silver solder there for putting together SS still parts though...
