does any one have any experience with these? i have a smaller top bpx from there and it seems to be pretty well built. i've never had a bottom roller box before and was wondering how it would compare with the HF 44" that everyone seems to really like. its the same price range and TSC is close to me and HF isn't. this box will be used in a "serious hobby" enviroment, no pro usage.

i've looked at them before and they seem pretty good, but i'm just wondering if i need to pony up for the shipping from HF. thanks in advance.

i guess i should add that it is the 40" wide 12 drawer box im looking at. on sale for $369.

A while back someone on here did an extensive comparison among many factors involved in considering the quality of a new toolbox. I believe the TSC toolboxes were included, but I have no idea who did the write up or how to find it. Maybe someone else could help. I believe the author concluded the TSC boxes were decent for the price but in the end he bought a HF 44" over anything else in his review.

I've posted about them before but under the masterhand name they used to be known by. They are on par with the HF offerings but a little more expinsive. I have a 26" bottom chest I keep at home that has treated me well. I even dropped it off the back of a uhaul and it still opens and locks:beer:

How far is the closest HF to you? The jobsmart box is ok for the money. But the HF is a MUCH better box. The bottom box is on sale in my area for $379 plus tax for the job smart. HF is 45 minutes away from me and even at the gas difference if I didn't already have one Id drive the difference.

For reference the jobsmart was on sale when i drove an hour one way to pick up my used HF with crinkle finish for $240 and am very happy. Mainly because it has the long drawer at top. To add though i like the top box jobsmart top box better then HFs. I have the masterhand box on top of mine and works pretty good.

To conclude, if HF is too far away, the jobsmart box will serve you well.

closest HF is 1.5 to 2 hours away. this is why i was thinking if the jobsmart is compareable to the HF, i was going to go with it. i'm within 15 minutes of 2 TSC's. sounds like jobsmart may work for me. thanks again
