Have been looking at some JD chrome sockets online, but it looks like over the years, these tools' stampings vary between JOHN DEERE USA to JOHN DEERE to JOHN DEERE TAIWAN. Anyone have reliable intel about COO on the JOHN DEERE only stampings? (The ones I have seen have the John Deere name inside a rectangle, like the current variety from Tie-won, but no COO stamping.) I see that the old USA stuff is rebranded Bonney, any ideas regarding the other stuff?

Also, is there any kind of literature out there on the IHC tool sets? Those folks made all kinds of cool non-farm stuff, and even had a Betty Crocker-esque spokeswoman named Irma Harding!

I wouldn't mind adding some Red and Green sockets to my box, but I'm leaning toward 'merican-made stuff (don't judge me!)

When I was a kid, one of my aunts had an IH refrigerator in the kitchen of their farmhouse.

Most chrome IH tools were Wright, although there are some imports as well. Like the set oldtuleguy posted, i think the most common IH sets were 3/4 drive.

I'd like to find one of these IH Kennedy boxes...navy blue crinkle paint...

I sold over a 1000 different ih hand tools at my big "D" sale in june 06, most were cast iron and forged along with 300 pieces later chrome stuff. No 3/4 drive though. Only chrome i kept was 6" and 8" crescent style adjustables. LOOKING for 10" & 12".

I have a IHC set of pliers. I was with my dad when he bought them in late 70s.
