Oh I missed some of these responses up til now!! Thank you very much everyone, I really appreciate it!

We took it out to a car show about a week ago, got lots of comments and had a nice time walking around.

I was very pleased when I found out it barely fits in the back of the wife's Isuzu Rodeo. I just had to remove the pull handle and lift that behemoth into place, a near perfect fit :)

Very nice Mr. Leftyz! I really do like that. I work for JD and love to see folks rally behind our brand. He's a lucky boy, and will cherish that for years.

FYI, here is what we are offering. I think they are selling for @ $130.00. Part # TBEK34637 . It's not nearly as bodacious as your version, however!

-snip-

Again, awesome job!

Very cool that you work for JD! I had seen the official JD wagon after I had started the project, and was searching on Google images for ideas. Kinda blew the wind out of my sails for a little bit.. I thought about just buying one but I knew if I gave up that I wouldn't be happy with myself. Plus I knew that my version would still be unique, and I would know that I did it myself.

$130? Jeez my wheels & tires cost more than that! :shocking:

AWESOME!!! I was not a big fan of the wooden sides but they fit your theme to a T and look awesome.

I'll admit, I really liked the way it looks without them as well, good thing about them is they are very easy to remove and put back! :)

You will love taking that thing to car shows, and the county fair. When we take ours out in public its impossible to walk five feet without someone making a comment or gawking at them. Wagons like yours cannot be bought at wal-mart, therefore 99% of american parents simply gaze in amazement....

Men, naturally, love the attention. (same as muscle cars, i suppose). My wife on the other hand, HATES when we bust out the wagons to go somewhere.

My wife still loves it, I can tell she is proud to tell people I made it myself as much as I am!

This really is basically the first thing I have built myself.. well.. ever.. (not including an engine here or there :lol_hitti )

Very cool project. The very first pic with the smiling baby in it tells the whole story.

Congrats on a job well done...on many levels.

We went out for a walk the other day, he seems to like riding in it quite a bit, thankfully!

Well, our John Deere stable is growing, my boss gave me this antique JD pedal car tractor, the chain drive needs to be repaired though. I still haven't figured out how I'm gonna fix it.

Well a year later, a bit of an update, to go along with his halloween costume, I made a skin for the wagon, check it out...
