I E-mailed John Deere to see if there sockets are guaranteed for life and I was told only if you have a receipt. My receipt is long gone and so is my warranty. Too bad an American company with American made tools is just too cheap to replace my split socket. My Cornwell tool rep always takes care of any problems that I have had in the past. Anyone else have issues with tool companies and there warranty policies? Thanks for reading, Mr. Pooman

I work for John Deere as a tech. Our store warranty's tools all the time with no purchase history. Just go to your local dealer and tell them to warranty your broken socket. Don't just go off of here-say from Joe Blow and down a company on an internet forum.

I find a bit of Humor in your "American Made tools", Last time i was in my Local JD shop, The Majority of Tools where Imports. Its always best to show up in person... Emails are essentially "Out of Sight Out of Mind", Its Easy to tell someone No over the Internet.

A Deere dealer should have no problem exchanging it. Just don't expect them to have it stock and the sockets will be imports. I had no issuse getting a combo replaced.

do they have any good 4 way angle wrenches at John Deere (just assuming since a lot of their stuff is hydraulic), i have some snap on ones but the prices get kind of ridiculous on the bigger sizes, best angle wrenches ive tried by far though.
