Joined due to Obsessing Abt Garage Door Leaking

Hi Everyone - I am new here and from Maryland. Just had a new garage build onto my home and finally last step was putting in a new top of the line Amarr door just last week. However just had a rain and later that day opened the door and drops of water fell onto my car!! Seemed to be coming from top windows on door and/or joints between panels. So happpy to have found this forum so I can learn more about this before dealing with door installer. Like - is this normal for a not too heavy rain with slight wind (not much overhang above garage).

I just posted in general garage discussion and hope people will share experiences. But also finding some other interesting stuff on this forum. This spring I will be outfitting the garage and think I can learn from people here.

Welcome to GJ, Rustito. Your garage door sounds perfectly normal. Water will sit on the top of the lower section until it dries. If you open the door before it dries, it will pee, I mean, drip on your car.

I know you probably have an answer like this in the general forum, but I jut wanted to welcome you here.

Hey Jeff - Appreciate your post on garage door and dripping. We finally have rain and I am going out to determine exactly where it is dripping from. I am worried it is the window - have been reading that Armarr windows are not caulked and can cause problems.

I really am enjoying this forum!!
