The way I came across this forum was I was looking for others who have had the bug to heat their garage. Yesterday I bought a Mr. Heater 45,000 heater to heat my 24ft. X ft. footprint. I've been using a K1 kerosene stove, but with the cost of $5.00 a gallon, it's costing me a fortune! I only heat the garage when I'm working in there. I hate filling the thing and constantly running to get fuel.
I'm toying with how to run the exhaust, wheater to go straight up or horizontal? If I run horizontal, the manuel says to install a condensate drip tube or some such device, and to run it with a pitch 1/4" per foot and to make sure it's at least 1ft beyond the sofit, sounds like it'd be better to run it straight up and avoid all the extra problems. Anyone have pictures of how they have run theirs, horizontal or straight up?
Running the gas line and the hookup for it or mounting isn't any problem for me though.
