I dont understand why. It seems like a lot of work to get a 90° weldable bend. And time is money. Is it stronger? Easier to make sure the angle is square?
Two 45° cuts laid in a jig will get the same corner and a hell of a lot quicker.

A variation of this is sometimes used for 90 corners on tubes of different sizes.
