Very nice.

Can you share some info on your lights? That's one thing that I have drug my feet on with my build, but the sun isn't in the sky as long these days, so I need to do something. :)

Thanks y'all! The lights are 4ft cheapos! Caught them on sale at rural king for 8.99 each, and the bulbs were on sale too, they were 2.99 for 2, they are the skinny bulb, t8 I believe. But they are pretty bright.

Great building. Who was your builder?

Would it be possible for me to take a look at your garage sometime?

I live in Spencer County too.

The builder was SC pole barns, and I think they are out of business now, or had a feud going between partners and changed the name or something, I gave a buddy their info, and he could never get ahold of them. As far as seeing it, don't take this the wrong way, but I'm a bit weird about people I don't know, seein all my junk! Lol

Sometimes with all the super fancy builds on here I forget how nice it'd be to have even a simpler building like this. Great build.

Looks good bigpee..any plans to insulate? How thick did you go on your concrete?

No plans to insulate yet, but it's not out of the question, and the concrete is 5-6 inches thick. A little overkill, but I still don't have a crack! I have a lot o rebar in there too, it's on a 2-3 foot grid!

Thanks! Rat guard is just a trim piece, it goes around the bottom of the metal, basically puts a flat edge along the bottom of the corrugated metal, so the corrugated side kinda gets"closed" off. Hard to explain, but easy to understand, once you see it.

I understand overkill, I went 5" too but where my lift was, i dug out 16 inch trenches for extra concrete and i have a 18inch grade beam in middle for support. No future plans for a lift? Building looks good man, ive got a 24X32 and your build is very similar to mine, stick with it, it takes time and patience, im going through it now..lol but it will get done.

Just checked out your stove thread. I'm just west of New Albany so we have similar weather to contend with. Insulate when you can! My floor was poured in 1991 when I had the building built. The contractor asked me if I wanted saw cuts at the time and I declined. He said they all crack and the saw cuts help. My floor went 20 years before it had it's first crack.I'm too old to start over but if I was a young guy building in a colder climate I would go to the expense of a heated floor. I heated for 20 plus years with propane but now that I'm retired I have time for firewood. Good looking building there bigpee.

Thanks buddy! Yeah, propane just costs too damn much! I do have cuts in the floor, so I'm hoping when it does crack, it will crack there! I hope I go 20 years before mine cracks!

Nice build you have. Did you add the rat guard after the metal siding was up ?

I put my rat guard on after, it wasn't bad, just unscrewed the bottom edge, slid the rat guard in, and rescrewed!
