I have fully prepped my garage floor for an epoxy coating. Ground it, cleaned it and it is ready for the primer and the rest of the epoxy package. The question is, since I have driven on it during the week there has to be some rubber on the pavement. Should I just give it a simple cleaning with some muriatic acid and hose it out, allowing it to dry overnight before I apply the primer?

Never a good idea to disturb a prepared floor during the process.
Tires can deposit road tar, armor-all, and other contaminants that can cause an issue.

I would clean the floor well before coating and allow time to dry.

I really knew that. I was just trying to avoid the whole muriatic acid process. Oh, well, as I always say, Do It Right.

Thank you.
