So I have made a few threads recently on getting another SO box since I had to let my other one go years ago.

Pictures below show the obstacle of getting it into my basement. I do not have a garage.

I was thinking of getting one of those portable winches that secure to your hitch ball and using that to lower box down the stairs (screw plywood down over stairs).

What would you guys do, I rent the house and I may be here for another 1-2 years.....get the SNO box and endure the pain getting it down there or just cheap out and buy a lighter smaller husky setup I can just slide down the stairs until I relocate?

There was a recent thread here of someone getting a SO box into their basement. Last couple months or so. Sorry, I don't have a link.

I didn't move a SnapOn box, but I have a similar walkout to my shop.
What you suggested is exactly how I get heavy items into my shop.
I've moved large cabinets, a compressor, a safe, and a 400lb table saw like that.

If you're working by yourself (like me), I suggest a winch with a wireless remote (mine is tethered).
Also, be careful when you get to the bottom of the ramp. The angle can cause the load to want to flip over end.
Empty the drawers to make the job easier.

AND MAKE SURE YOU SET THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON THE VEHICLE !!!!
