I've been lurking here for a while, so I thought I'd actually sign up. Name's Dan, live in Bennington, VT. I have a two-car detached right now that a previous owner of my house built. Of course, it's full and I can hardly get anything done in there, and I'm pretty sure the town will have a fit if I try to expand. Oh, and it's bare studs, so I don't even bother heading out there in the winter. So I'll be looking for tips on insulating and organizing and turning it into a place that's a bit more habitable year-round.

As for what's in there now, I have a '79 AMX that's about ready for paint, a '74 MG Midget I bought for the wife and a hot rod chassis in pieces.

I feel your pain -- my county won't let me build another garage either. Next best thing is to build a big shed and get as much of the **** out of the garage as possible.

Yup, we're putting up a shed this summer. That should get the mower and the garden tools out of my way. That should give me a bit of room to maneuver.

Welcome to the forum. the Midget shouldn't take up much more room than the mower. You should be able to fit it in the new shed too. In lieu of that, I'd be willing to do you a favor and get the Midget out of your way.

Dan,

A few years back you had a great website dedicated to modifieds. I've heard rumors that you're bringing it back. Is there any truth to those rumors?

Thanks,
Ed

I appreciate the offer. When it becomes too much of a burden, I'll let you know.

I'd like the time to bring it back! No, I trusted it to Cris's care. It's been a while since I checked in on his progress, though.
