Junction box and three phase question+ Panel Question!

Can I use this box and distribution block to lengthen a three phase run? This will power my air compressor. 8 ga wire.

Looks good from here, You may have to figure out a way to ground both the box and motor.

If you need breakers, better consider wearing a adult brief, before looking at the prices, E2,E4,E6 breakers are not cheap, & would be more economical if were BQ, or BL, breakers. The ITE brand was discarded quite a while ago, in favor of Siemens.

oh this is a 3Ø motor? why are you using #8 wire? thats way overkill

FLC for 230v 5HP 3Ø motor is 15.2a which means 19a rated wire. so you really only need #14 THWN in pipe.

Also, why bother adding a point of failure to the mix? if the wires are too short, just run some new ones. but if you must, just use wire nuts in a j box. not sure why you want to throw a breaker panel in the mix

also if this is further than 50' form and not within sight of the breaker panel, then you will need a local disconnect

I had/have multiple spools of 8ga wire so that's what I used. I'm reusing wire/conduit that I had from my old shop powering the same machines.

Thinking about wiring the rotary phase converter into a three phase panel. I have a difficult time envisioning how this should all go together.
