I prefer the term "Random Tools" for my assorted item drawer lol
In my tool box, that is what it really is, random tools that don't fit in any other drawer due to what it is.

Howey, for peace of mind, it's called the junk drawer so anything can be in there.

Thinking I might need a bigger box as well.

I think they are unavoidable. In the house, garage, garden shed, RV. If you are the least bit hands on you will have one.

I don't have any junk drawers in my toolboxes. But I do have some junk bins on my poly-bin rack. Weird fittings and fasteners that don't really fit in anywhere, but I don't want to throw them out. Same with a bucket of large electrical fittings/connectors I keep under my workbench. I'll probably never need them, but they can be pretty expensive if I do ever need them, so in the cobwebs they wait.

I used to be the guy who kept "junk" (bolts, washers, wire clippings, etc) strewn all over my toolboxes and trays, but not anymore. I've become obsessively organized, and it helps my productivity immensely not scooting piles of random junk around looking for tools, or scooting tools around looking for random junk.

IME its impossible not to have a misc drawer/bin/box. There will always be little doodads that have no home. Odd hardware, or whatever. I have several. But I try to organize those, the best I can. Even still, I have coffee cans of stuff, without a home.
