MSC is having a sale on a Jupiter Pneumatics 33 gal compressor and I have had my eye on something this size for home/weekend work use. Was wondering if this would be a viable candidate. 7.0 cfm @90 psi. Can be wired 110 or 220. V twin cast iron pump. 150 psi max. Other specifics in this link.
I guess my main question is, Has anyone had any experience with this brand? What would you pay for this model (I can get it for 275ish delivered to my work)? It would be mostly used for 1/2" impact, small air tools, possible die grinder. And later a 40-50 amp plasma.
I have read most of the compressor threads here but my needs will be slightly less duty than what most reccomend in a two stage, 80+ gallon, IR $1000+ machine. Any thoughts/concerns would be much appreciated.
I have also found a Crapsman "Professional" 27 gal. at my local sears that was an open box item that I can snag for around 200+ tax. It's aluminum pump kinda turns me off and it flows slightly less than the Jupiter Pneumatics one, but it also costs a fair amount less. Would it be a possible candidate to fulfil my home shop needs?
