Hi group! My name is Chris and I'm a dad of 5, husband of 1 and grandad of 3. I have been working on my garage a little at a time for about a year and I've become kinda obsessed with it. Any and all things to do with a garage, I'm there. The fam says I spend too much time out there but it's where I do my best thinkin. So Im glad to find some others that are into thier garage's too. Cars, Bikes and building stuff is what I like best. I attached a pic of my east wall and although it doesn't look like much, I basically built it from using the old junked-up plywood cabinets that were there before. I am working on a ceiling/attic storage area now so I can keep all the junk off the floor that the family keeps draggin in. Well I'm anxious to read what y'all have to say so thanks for havin me on board.

Welcome to Garage Journal Chris. Sounds like you'll fit right in around here. This place has a strong appreciation for re-engineering what you've got to do the job. Your cabinets look great. Ya just gotta remember to take lots of photos of your next project so you can share with the rest of us.

Welcome Aboard.

It looks like you have a great place there.

Reuse/Repurpose projects are the best so you will fit in fine here.

Welcome! Good luck on keeping the 'family clutter' out of YOUR space; it may take some extraordinary measures to train them. I'd suggest a 'NO TRESPASSING!' sign posted inside the house on the door leading to the shop to get the idea across. lol

That's a great workspace. Looking at everyone's pictures, I see stuff I had never thought of before, like your microwave, duh, I like the way it's built into the cabinets with the fridge. I also come up with about ten more questions. More pictures would help answer most of them. I might fall into the same category as you, I don't have a fortune to spend, I could buy paint for the fridge and the walls, electric wiring, etc...But stuff like Slatwall is just too expensive for me, I have to make do with pegboard, I know-I know, all you flame-throwing pegboard haters have at me, but it, and I, is/am cheap.
