Can you guys read that little white sticker ok? It says $10...
Seriously though, I buy top tier tools all the time from my local pawn shops for dirt cheap. I can't believe some of the prices you other members pay for stuff at your pawn shops. They're loco

Or maybe your local pawnshop owners are just terrible at running a business.

I've never found a good deal on tools at a pawn shop. Might as well go to the store and buy it new.

Since I started buying quality tools I've gotten several good deals at pawn shops. However, I've learned 90% of the items are usually overpriced, while there is one or two gems in the pile. Then you have to negotiate to get it for a really good price.

In the last couple of months I've picked up a Snap On 3/8" Techangle torque wrench for $120 OTD.

Snap On PH3050A air hammer with the quick connector already on it for $100 OTD.

A Snap On Instinct green screwdriver set for $46 OTD.

Then several other small sockets that I needed. I've also passed on a few other deals that were items that I didn't need. These are all a fraction of what they go for new and quite a bit less than any of these items go for on eBay.

No the guy is actually very knowledgable and I usually talk with him for an hour each time I'm there. He just likes to move inventory instead of letting it sit for 3 years trying to make 300% profit.

I've got that same compression gauge, I think I gave $40 for it a couple years ago on CL. Used it a few times, great for troubleshooting.

my lgs is a pawn shop and is known for honest dealings within the firearms community in southern california. despite getting most of my tools at the swap meet, i've gotten some very good deals from this shop. it's a one-stop shop for me and i've picked up everything there from used Surefire flashlights and antique S&W revolvers to Snap-on hand tools.
