this is more of a question for SO buyer's, I have a voucher from SO when I purchased my Solus and Cab. I buy off the truck and he always gives me a discount on things but when I handed him my voucher he stated he couldn't give a discount when using a voucher....I'm fine with that but when it comes down to buying big ticket items from him he seems to be able to do or be as creative as he wants. Just thinking he had me by the shorts on this one and wouldn't budge.

I love it! The tool business might be the only business where you can give a guy a voucher for free tools and the guy still think he's getting screwed.

I could sit here and explain how your voucher works and why he can't use it for discounted merchandise, but I won't. its really none of your business.

If the dealer's a straight shooter, and usually willing to give deals, be thankful for that and take his word for it.

Sounds like those $100 off carpet coupons that must be presented before the price is quoted. Go figure.

it all depends on what style of coupon it is. If it came from another dealer then it will be hard to get his money back out of it properly. if it is from snap on credit then it has to be used for truck account purchases. gift cards can be used in any way

The voucher is from SO when I made my last 8700.00 purchase and I used the voucher and still paid cash for some more tools that day. It's basicly a percentage of the the total purchase.

Nothing is free, and I really don't give a **** if you explain it or not! Heck I'm doing him a favor buying from him every week for cash...he knows he will make a sale every week and dosen't need to chase his money.

he is going to lose a few bucks on the 10% certificate so I can see him doing that from my view point.
what were you looking to buy?

Okay I can understand that. This is my first time buying off the truck, I know SO is expensive but good. I hear guy's all the time telling there great deals and they never pay retail off the truck.

I'm basicly starting from nothing trying to get the basics but not go all out and just buy anything, If I buy wrenches, I would like to get what works the first time and be done. should I buy open end or open end and boxed together?

get the soex series then go after the hi-performance series. or get some long ratcheting box end wrenches. gearwrench makes a good set and I sell a lot of them to all different types of my customers.
