Costco part # 858582. 4' LED twin tubes. Brand FEIT. 38 watts, 3700 Lumens, 4000K Cool White color. My GC has them in his shop and likes them a great deal. At $35/ twin tube it is worth a shot. My electrician kinda pooh-pooh'ed them, but what the heck, If they last 2-3 years, the technology will be better and cheaper. I'm putting 4 rows of 4 in a 30X30 w/ a 4x14 off one corner. I'll report back once we throw the switch.

That would be 32 tubes total. I have 30 tubes in a similar size area. You are going to like the amount of lighting ALOT! Mine is great but need a little more near the walls near the bench and machines.
I also divided the fixtures on to two switches so you don't have to light the entire area (like when you just run out to get something - in and out)

Looking forward to your report and some pics. I bought a bunch of those when they were on sale but haven't hung them up yet.

You should be quite happy with that amount of light Jackfre. I hung up 1 per 125 square feet in my shed. Your 900/16 = 1 per 56'.

A couple things. They come with a two prong 5' cord. The supplied reflector is what the actual fixture bulb snap into. They supply 6" support cables, but I'm going to screw mine to the ceiling. So, a strip of 3/4 ply against the ceiling and screw the reflector thru the plywood strip into the rafter., then snap in the bulb assembly. I've set boxes and we will cut the cord and hard wire them. No diffuser supplied. Just the reflector backing.

I would run one for a while and see why kind of heat it generates before you flush mount something that wasn't intended that way. If the fixture can't cook sufficiently you may inadvertently shorten it's life.

Well, at 38 watts and 3414 btu/kW that works out to about 87 or so btu/fixture. I'm not going to worry about that.
