something is not right it should only take 5-6 mins to fill the tank.
Make sure you dont tighten the belts too much or it will wear the bearing you should have about an inch of play in the belts

My manual says 1/2" and I have a little over that.

I spoke to a friendly compressor mechanic today and he said he thinks one of three things happened:

- I might have mixed up the cups that the piston connecting rods bolt to and hold on to the crankcase with. He said they aren't interchangeable.

- Something is holding open a valve and I somehow messed up a ring. Entirely possible and would mean that the low pressure piston's valve is stuck closed. This is quite possible as I had trouble putting that piston back in.

- I simply over tightened the piston connecting rods and the crank case is encountering too much resistance.

My Grandad passed away yesterday so I'm headed out of town to go to the funeral in San Angelo and will be back this weekend to look in to it. His generation was a lot worse off than ours and I'm so glad he worked and did what he did, along with his fellow generation, so that the biggest issue I have today is jacking around with an old air compressor. He made it through the depression raising pigeons for food and eating raw onions. He was an Eagle Scout and he and other boys used their camping trips in West Texas to harvest deer that they'd then skin and make moccasins out of for footwear. He lied about his age, joined the Navy at 16, volunteered for naval aircrew, and after basic training, radio & gunnery school he sat in the belly of TBF Avengers and flew off the USS Enterprise. After the war he flew the bomber seat of Helldivers. He hated dive bombers and he never flew in a small airplane after he got out of the Navy and never went to an airshow. Didn't want to see them fly anymore. The first picture is of him during training and the second is a photo I found of his years back. I don't know if he was in the planes, took the photo, or just had it. I did some research though and they were based off the Enterprise.
