In my case - like garboui said - more creative freedom & about 30k (us) more per year and alot more benefits

Automation? As in PLC stuff?

Yep... as in PLC stuff, but with a twist. Instead of being the guy they wake at 3 in the morning because some idiot switched off the power to an important machine and the backup batteries of course were dead, I'm going to be the guy to work with suppliers of new equipment... And there is some fancy stuff coming like laser welding machine with 6kW laser.
