Looks great! Noticed a lot of people lately choose to put the gearwall panels on nearly 100% of their walls....doesn't that get pricey? That looks like about $3500 worth of panels alone stacked up in pic 1! I'd rather spend the extra coin on other "toys" but I guess to each their own…

If I'm way off and there is some way of getting that much paneling at a discount please let us know!

Even with a steep discount you will still be at least $5.00 per square foot for either Geartrak or Gearwall.

DOH!!! This is what happens when I rush my guys to get out of the way for a quick pic. The cabs just hang on the gear wall. There really isn't much adjusting as much as positioning.

Anyways, I agree on floor to ceiling slat wall is not necessary but if the client insists we'll cover his ceilings as well. In this project the client didn't want to have anything exposed.

As for electric in the garage, we do have a licensed electrician on call for any project that is needed. In this case, this client didn't care for any additional outlets or upgraded fixtures. There is one outlet on the right side of the garage that isn't pictured. Its all the client cared for.

We sell and install Gladiator gearwall, regular pvc slat wall and garage grids. For the money, the garage grids are the way to go IMO. On this project though, the client would of needed to have it sheet rocked, spackled and painted before installing the garage grids. So in the end it was faster and more economical to go this way.

How about a little positive feedback guys? Garageguy obviously put some work into this and ended up with a sweet garage. Not everybody uses there place for working in cars.

If I left for work at 8am with the garage looking like pic one and returned at 5pm to find pic 2, I would be totally ecstatic.

It's not the type of garage space for me, but it sure is a huge improvement...transformation, really.

OP, are you saying there is adjustment to the cabinets' final positioning, or no? I don;t know how that Gearwall stuff works.

I'd say that the bracket is not on correctly or not tightened up all of the way. If it was it would have to line up with the slats that look straight.

As far as for the looks of the garage, I like it, but I sure would want a few more outlets than just one on a far wall

Hey, I'm just jealous! I just finished painting my garage and would love to be able to put up even half a wall of the gearwall stuff... Just four panels for me behind the workbench and then track where needed...

I dont think anyone is busting on Garageguy. Most eveyone (I think) is talking about the homeowners choices with the outlets.

As for the cabinet not being straight thats just good natured ribbing. Most everyone understands its a minor tweak and its all good.

Damn, tough crown on this side. No worries, believe me I got thick skin. Thanks for the compliments.

As for the brackets on the Gladiator cabs, they are solid mounted to the cabs and if the wall is bowed or not quite plum it sometimes doesn't fit well or doesn't allow itself to be level.

I think part of the nature of the critical comments was because this wasn't a homeowner DIY project but rather a proffesional business posting pictures of recent work.

I would venture to say that most of the members on this board are of the DIY type, hence why the critical nature of the comments. Most of the comments were simply of the function of the garage in that it really isn't meant for being a workplace, which again most of the members on this board work in their garages.

So can you give us an approximate $ figure of that job? $5k?
