OK, it's now official. bushmechanic has the biggest brass balls of all on GJ.
Just two weeks back my wife was dancing in the wood pile and singing about snakes. Went to take a look and it was a little Garter snake. Told her to quit acting like an idiot and leave him alone.
Week later I saw him again and he had grown a few inches in a week, assuming it was the same one.

Probably less to do with balls, and more to do with nearly terminal curiosity.

I'm just going to put it out there that when I read about a wife that dances in wood piles and sings about wild animals, we probably don't have the same picture in our minds... My picture is better. :D

I have a king snake that hangs around my garage. At times I will find him in the garage but mainly he lays on the drive just in front of the garage "tanning". I leave him alone. My wife can't stand it- she HATES snakes. She is always telling me to kill it when she sees it but I like the fact that he doesn't bother me and keeps the ones that I don't want around away.

Yesterday was the first day my wife went back in the shop since the snake sighting... I probably shouldn't have told her about that. Not sure where the snake is now. I put him back in the woods that day.

In regards to the shop, I have been working on my entryway gap issues. I installed a new door this weekend and discovered that the lizards and snakes had a very easy passthru to get inside. I bought seals for the bay doors and will get them on this week.

Tell the wife that is your gate guard. Keeps out rats and bad snakes!

I have a bunch of garden snakes in my yard. I always leave them be but hate being startled by them. I have a decent strawberry patch and every year I will be pulling weeds and one of the weeds wiggles in my hand. After screaming like a 9 yo girl I collect myself, look around to see if any of my neighbors were outside to hear me, if so I scold my non existent daughter for yelling about a little snake.
