Was recently in the vicinity of SE MI, halfway between Chicago and Detroit. You're gonna find lots of info here, lots of entertainment, and as 'Click' and 'Clack' of NPR 'Car Talk' called them, "Time-Wasters," though of-course, time in the garage/shop is rarely a waste of time.

Is 'mid-Michigan' Mt Pleasant/Midland area?

Have you visited the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners MI? Or the Air Zoo Museum in Kalamazoo?
