Just getting into building/fixing things

Hi everyone, I'm ihavea4 from Vancouver, WA. I've been in the IT world for the last 7 years or so and focused completely on tech. Well that's started getting crazy out there, and I'm losing faith in technology saving the world, so I've started working with my hands a lot more.

So far this year I've built a table for our fish tank, and then a big workbench. It's been tough, and I've made countless mistakes, but I love it! Next on my list is to restore my old Atlas Drill Press I got for next to nothing...

I too had an IT background... in the 90's. Hands-on won out in the long run.
