I will be disassembling and sandblasting and repainting. From What I have read it is pretty good quality. Some background on the vice, it was given to me by an ex-GM employee, he worked at the GM metal center plant here in downtown Indy as a tool and die maker before it closed. He has a few others but he is keeping those. I will post the after pics when they are available.

That's a very good vise...and for free, you can't go wrong. Keep us updated on the "restoration"...

Thanks!! It really wasn't all that difficult...here's the before paint picture, had to use a rotary wire brush and it cut through like butter

Free is great . . . but RESTORED is even better. Excellent job on the restoration.

Love the color red on a vise.
