Just got my Epoxy-Coat kit - is this mess common?

Just got my epoxy-coat premium kit the other day and upon opening one of the two big buckets (this one has the basecoat in it) I noticed there was some sloppiness in the packaging of my product.

Do you guys think it's still ok to use?

If you're thinking "call the manufacturer dude!" - I think I will but figured manufacturers are likely to say "oh it's fine...." so I figured I'd get youalls take on it first.

Edit: I do believe the buckets are all sealed ok, just sloppy filling. FYI

I cannot speak for Epoxy-Coat but I will speak for ourselves. This happens from time to time and it cannot be prevented. UPS and FEDEX are throwing these kits around like rubber balls.

We recently had meetings and they promised us they would look into this.
Seems like kits going to Texas get abused the most.

From the looks of it you should be fine, not enough spillage to sweat.

So you think this happens in transit? To me it looks like it happened at the factory?

Either way I bet it's fine, you will know for sure when you open the buckets.

The rep -Christene-is very active and resonsive on this forum. From her posts, she responds to calls and emails that address problems with her company's products.

You might want to address your issue directly with her also.

We all see this from time to time on the two main carriers. I don't see it on large orders that go freight. Just recently I ordered a gallon of a specialty urethane that I do not stock and it took the 'shipping company' 4 times before they got it to me in one piece.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah Christine was great - I ordered from her directly. I'll probably shoot her a call or email if i get a chance today to be on the safe side.

Let Christine know. It could be packaged wrong or just rough treatment during shipment as stated above. If it was packaged wrong she'll want to know. Your little bit of leakage won't affect your job or coverage. Good luck and post pictures.

Hi Miken123,
Sorry for the leakage! We have on occasion had an issue with shipment. They can be very rough with those buckets. Not trying to take blame off of us, but this has been an issue in the past with UPS. If you have had any significant loss or need anything replaced in the kit, let me know. I will be out of the office this coming week so either call and ask for Jenny or shoot her an email [email protected]
Thanks!
