It's really odd how small the world is, or at least places in the state. I bought the three axis mill knowing that there was monitor problems. CRT actually, and it was going to have to be calibrated to the phase converter. So the guy I bought the mill from gave me the name of a guy that could calibrate things correctly. I called him and he stopped right on time this morning. 10 minutes and he had it done, and was $200 cheaper than his original quote.
We started talking about things and bigger than ****, when I started working where I retired from, he worked at the same place in the Maintenance department. So we pissed away a couple of hours trying to remember who was who, then I had to get the wife in on it to help remember some names I couldn't remember. It's been close to 30 years since he has worked there and we both overlapped by maybe 5 years. His name sound familiar and I should remember him, but it's odd that he is down from around the Dayton area, and I was originally from Bellefontaine, yet we both worked at the same place.
And as far as the mill....it's good to go, if I ever find any tooling.
