New member here, in south central Missouri. I didn't even know this board existed until someone on Moparts told me to research floor coatings here :) Lots of useful info!

After decades of waiting, I am finally getting a concrete floor in my 40x30 steel building (bought the 4-post lift 3 years ago and it's still in the box!) :bounce: A local friend did the leveling, forming, rock, plastic and rebar. Then I hired a pro to do the pour and finishing.

I have way too much junk to empty the building and do it all at once, so the first stage (40x12 6" slab between the sliding doors) was just poured and power-troweled 2 days ago. Next I'll shift everything to one side for the 40x6 part, and finally shift it all one more time to finish the 24x12 remainder. It's a lot like putting on your underwear after your pants - it can be done but a lot more hassle that way. At least it spreads out the cost, too.

I've gotten too old and out-of-shape to lie on concrete (or dirt!) while working on my cars, so this will be a major improvement to the man-cave :)
