Was looking for some info on a sears floor jack and found what I was looking for on your site. Just what I was looking for.

Been working on my own cars since the late 50s with the purchase of a 51 Chevy soft top with a knocking rod bearing.

My floor jack and I both seem to be wearing out at the same time. Probably changed my own engine oil for the last time this past year.

I spent 4 years in the Navy as an Aviation Electronics tech out of high school. Went to Pitt for an Electrical Engineering degree, and then worked 42 years with NASA designing spacecraft data systems, including 25 years on the Hubble Space Telescope.

Retired and living on Lake Norman, just north of Charlotte, NC.

JG: looks like you might have a few questions still, but really sounds like you have a ton to share if you want to help others with some of those skills you learned. not that very many of us will be going to space anytime soon, but we do like vintage cars, tools and fixing stuff.

cheers and WELCOME!!

jglesko hello and welcome to the GJ

You have an awesome back ground Sir..

All the best with your rod bearing..

Can I respectively suggest you put your location in your profile, being a global forum it really helps our members assimilate as you post in other threads.

As always enjoy.
